Preventive Health Specialists

A new workforce of trained and certified healthcare professionals is working in clinical settings to provide prevention services and help reverse chronic disease. Preventive Health Specialists are deployed in settings that include on-site employer clinics, primary-care and specialty practices, and hospitals. They connect with patients through telemedicine and other digital platforms. These professionals focus on the prevention and reversal of chronic disease and support and encourage routine screenings and other preventive services.

The Preventive Health Network is designed to improve health and reduce healthcare expense by focusing on evidence-based prevention interventions that help people avoid getting sick in the first place.
